This Concepts of Print Unit includes the following interactive lessons on Google Slides:
- Letters: Name and sequence letters of the alphabet and produce sounds for each letter.
- Words: Phonetically spell simple words (CVC words).
- Sentences: Write a sentence with an uppercase letter and punctuation.
- Books: Name the parts of a book.
- Authors & Illustrators: Name the author and illustrator and explain their roles in making the book.
- Illustrations & Photographs: Describe the relationship between words and pictures in a text.

Teacher Tips
- Accessing the Google Slides: Your download will include a PDF with links to the Google Slides. When prompted, click “Make a Copy” to save to your Google Drive.
- Creating an Assignment: When assigning the activities, first make a copy of the slide deck. Then, remove any slides you do NOT want assigned.
- Personalize the Lessons: Check out videos on YouTube for steps to add your voice-over to the lesson slides so YOU can be the one teaching your students. It’s super easy to do and is a great way to personalize your distance learning lessons!
