Hello and thank you so much for stopping by! I’m Candice, mom to one amazing little boy and the teacher-author behind The Homeroom Teacher. I taught elementary school for four years before making my way into higher education curricular affairs. Now, I am blessed to stay home with my son and create awesome resources for teachers and parents just like you and me!
I began creating educational resources for my own classroom to bridge the gap between what my district provided and what my students needed to achieve skill, concept, and standard mastery. I fell in love with curriculum. I am especially passionate about integrating technology into instruction at all ages and appropriately challenging students to build perseverance in learning.
The resources I create are geared toward young children, ages toddler through kindergarten, and can be easily implemented by teachers in the classroom, for distance learning, or used by parents at home. They engage and challenge young students.
I live in Florida with my husband, our son, and our two crazy dogs. When I’m not working (is that a thing?), you can find me at the park, at the beach, or on the golf course — I drive the cart!
